about

While there was always the tendency by Hardcore producers, beginning in the 90s, to go faster and faster, I was always interested in the opposite direction too: to go slower, and slower, and slowest.
So a few years ago, there was something of - maybe a phenomenon, maybe a trend, maybe just an idea - to have this thing called "Slowcore", which meant Hardcore tracks with very slow tempos, usually 120 BPM and downwards.
There were even terms like "Funeral Doomcore" for even slower tracks.
It was something that caught my interest easily, and I began to try to push this sound a bit more, and also began to produce a lot of tracks in this style.

Eventually, it all seemed to have fade away after a while. But it was a lot of fun, and maybe the results were not so bad at all.
So here is what I think an almost complete collection of my efforts in this particular "genre". Apart from the slow speed, there is a focus on a dark atmosphere, and plenty of distortion, added with experiments.
Tempo is most of the time somewhere around 60 bpm, with some tracks a bit faster, some slower, and of course, my two "1 bpm" tracks are included here too. Most of these tracks were self-released, but some were taken from labels that I had a release on, such as Demonic Wavs, Antistatic, Blackened Hardware - my thanks and support goes to these labels!

If "Slowcore" is your thing - I hope you enjoy these tracks.
And maybe, sometime in the future - Slowcore might take on the world for good?
Gotta go slow!
